to start the week out right ~
too much seriousness going on lately and needing to let loose and shake things up a bit is much needed....
so I danced, I stayed out late, I laughed, I had a few drinks and spent some time with a very dear friend who showed me that believing in your dreams really does pay off!
also shared the love by going out on a "secret mission" for my Mondo Beyondo class....leaving notes in bathrooms and bart stations....
I've been freaking out a bit lately...good freaking out, but freaking out just the same.
Getting ready to attend Squam and also getting ready for the Art Fair has been all consuming on top of "regular" life of a full time job, motherhood, marriage and everything else that consumes me on a regular basis.
But I'm feeling inspired, excited, ready ....and after tacos in the Mission at La Taq with my dear friend Mati I'm feeling like I can relax a bit more and just enjoy it all.
It's nice to have that time with a good friend who can bring you down to earth and put it all in perspective. I needed it.
Now....She gave me some great advice, good ideas and reminded me to bring my favorite items to ground me, thanks hon!
Another thing that is adding to the excitement is my new Holga ~ loving it!
Now back to editing and planning....
the day starts and ends with magic ~ I prefer it that way.
just a few short weeks before I head to Squam and in those few days I will be participating in the Squam Art Fair! My first ever Art Fair and to say I'm a little nervous would be an understatement but it's more excited, butterflies in my stomach kinda nervous. I'll be setting up a table with my books, prints and hopefully a few surprises to come!
So like I said ~ creating magic .....
ps.
if you are in the area come Sept 19th; please stop by, say hello and support the many wonderful artists!
when you didn't really have any cares in the world
or if you did...you realized they weren't that big
now they're big!
do you remember...
~when you used ride your bike all over the neighborhoods without a helmut
~when you left in the morning and didn't really come back until dinner time, and no one worried
~when playing outside with friends meant imagination and plain fun
~when you didn't think about what you looked like, what you wore, how your hair looked or what others thought
~do you remember when the biggest worry you did have was ... I don't even know what...maybe what Mom was going to make for dinner that you even liked...because yes you were a picky eater then...just like now
~do you remember wanting to grow up fast so you could do this, that and everything else...because you thought it was going to be so much better that way?
~do you remember when your dreams were to travel, to be a gypsy, a hippy, have a VW Van photographing everyone and everything you saw??
~do you remember that girl, who's dreams those were?

a girl who wished too hard
a girl who tried too hard
a girl who regretted too much
a girl who yearned for that, that and that
a girl who wanted it all but didn't know how to go about getting it
a girl who cried too much
a girl who didn't laugh enough
a girl who wanted, wanted, wanted
a girl who didn't take it when she had the chance
a girl who's not going to let it go if she ever gets the chance again...

the silence you have doesn't serve you
the silence you have doesn't serve them
the silence you have doesn't make anything better
it may make it worse
the music is on
the song is calling you
to get up
shake those hips
open your mouth
sing your song
the silence doesn't serve you
speak the truth
the truth will set you free
magic will come
you know it will
it has happened before
look at where you are
look at where you've been
how did it happen?
i beg you...to have patience with everything unresolved in your head and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.
don't search for the answers, which could not be given you now, because you would not be able to live them.
and the point is, to live everything.
live the questions now.
perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.

I was asked the other day "what is inspiring you lately?" and I couldn't think of anything!
That is truly sad!
So I've made a point to add some inspiration to the small amounts of time I've had over the course of the last few days...
enjoy ~
Kelly's new necklaces ~ loving on these!
Have you heard about the journey to jordon ~ this is so amazing and I so wish I could go. I hear there is only a couple of spots left!
Andrea and Jen creating this new online course ~ sounds pretty amazing, can't wait to partake in the 1st session. I couldn't resist!
Reading all about Boho's experience with dreads ~ so envious and can't wait to hear all about the experience. She looks beautiful!
I've just recently found Vivienne and i'm loving her photos, her perspective - her everything
that should keep me/you busy for awhile.
here's to inspiration all around us!
Oh ~ forgot to mention one of my very own inspirations ~ my new Etsy shop!
