I've been listening to Brene Brown's Imperfect Parenting Series on my way home from work this last week and it's made a major impact on my life and not just in parenting. She speaks of Courage, Compassion and Connection ~ everything I've always wanted and of course want for my children. How you can't teach your children things you don't have yourself; common sense but also very eye opening for me.
She also speaks of her research around "shame" and it's facinating how much I never put 2 and 2 together on this. How we feel shame and why....
Again, facinating and totally changing my life...
There is something to say about girl power ~ when girls (women) in my case get together powerful things can emerge!
I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful women today for a dangerous tea party and I came away from it so inspired and really feeling alive!
I've been reminded lately how much I've been hiding and making excuses not to get out. My soul fills so full after being in the presence of others who are real, authentic and who truly live there lives to the fullest.
