I bought a book and actually read the whole thing cover to cover; this is a minor miracle because I haven't been able to do this since Kadison was born. I treated myself to a fun novel and it ended up being a miracle and also an inspiration!
If you can you should totally go out and find this book ~ it will inspire you to embrace life to every extent possible and will make you look at death in a very different light.

Dear Sweet Kadison ~
I'm late a couple of days but the weather has been so nice and you've also been sick for the past 24 hours...nothing like a very runny nose and cough to mess with our days together....and it's maybe because we were out enjoying the weather ...swinging on swings and having fun with the grass ....
You are standing up on anything you can get your hands on and we're realizing how much you're growing by how much you can grab once you do stand yourself up! You are such a treat for us to watch and we love to play peek a boo so we can hear that little belly laugh we all know and love! You are just the sweetest thing I've ever known and you melt your mom and dads heart every day.
You babble constantly and I think sometimes you repeat what I say right after I say it....it's pretty amazing!
You love to play with Penny the Penguin and the little balls with rattles inside make you shake them like the tamporine! We of course know you're going to grow up and be a musician!
I hate to bring this up but it's so worth it...you've been sleeping through the night and I know I'm jinxing this now but it's something to talk about... I feel much better when I sleep through the night, waking up to my alarm knowing you slept through too. It's a blessing to both of us.
We're all gearing up for your 1st birthday extravaganza; the whole family is flying out to celebrate you and we couldn't be happier! And of course we're also happy knowing that a week after that the 3 of us are flying to Hawaii for a much needed vacation. Daddy thinks this is too much to do for your 1st birthday because every other year won't live up to that but I say NO Way...we will make it bigger and better every year and by your 16th we'll be able to go to Paris! HA! ...you heard it hear sweet one.
You're banging in your crib so I better go get you....I know I said you've been sleeping through the night but the naps during the day aren't going so well...oh well..
