the time we walked back to glen park in the middle of the night after halloween in the castro
the time we were at disney and went on the roller coaster with Ashlee - her first time
the time we drove up to Eureka just because
the time i said we're moving to san francisco
the time i died my hair bozo the clown orange!
the time i got suspended in the 4th grade after writing a dirty note to a classmate
the time my friends mom wouldn't let me play or talk to her anymore
the time my mom and dad didn't come to the hospital to see me
the time i hit a home run at one of my softball games
the time we went to the hockey state championships and performed on the ice
the time we were in san diego and i told him we were getting married
the time we went to SARK's pj party in San Francisco, where we met the Velvet Janes and saw Joshua Kadison!
the time we drove to chicago, went out and then drove back home all in one night
the time we danced on the bar
the time i got so drunk i passed out in the bathroom at the Voodoo lounge
the time Tim read my journal when he thought i was being distant
the time i locked my sister in her bedroom while i had a house party
the time i said no to ken when he gave me that bracelet for christmas
the time we went to an exclusive Sheryl Crow concert in LA and saw sooo many stars!
the time i fell off my bike -broke my tooth and messed up my nose and face
the times of my life.
Sitting here listening to Martine and Joshua Kadison .....
I had dinner with my two beautiful friends Julie and Becky tonight. Sitting there talking with them really affirmed how important women friendships are to me.
I moved to the Bay area almost 5 years ago and didn't know anyone. I met them through an online message board that would introduce us to many wonderful women.
Now we're the trio that lasted and I can't thank them enough for all the support they've given me over these few years.
To all the women in my life who support me, listen to me, offer that shoulder to lean on and guide me through this journey of life. I don't know where I would be without you.
Raise a cup of tea, a glass of wine or beverage of choice to all the women in your life who do the same.

Remember when you were a kid and summer meant selling lemonade at your lemonade stand, riding your bike to the pool, eating ice creams cones with sprinkles that dripped down your chin, staying out at night to catch lighning bugs, being so sweaty from the humidity that you sat in the bathtub till you were a prune. Those were the days...
I miss those summer days...
These days mean working to pay rent, wondering and stressing out about where we're going to live next month when Tim goes to school and where the money is going to come from.
These days also mean living life like we've dreamed about since we were kids - out on our own, playing by our own rules and staying out as late as we want.
You take the good, you take the bad, you take 'em both and there you have the facts of LIFE, the facts of life..(a little blurb from the good ol TV show "The facts of Life")
I have to keep the humor....
i beg you...to have patience with everything unresolved in your head and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.
don't search for the answers, which could not be given you now, because you would not be able to live them.
and the point is, to live everything.
live the questions now.
perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.

i love pillows...all kinds of pillows...
