Susannah recently asked me a few questions....and here they are along with my answers....
1. What compels you to keep a blog?
It's funny you should ask this, I've been asking myself this for the last year or even longer. Ever since having kids I feel like I've been floundering around with no real path or reason for being here. But lately I've come full circle and am realizing that it's about finding my voice and figuring out the direction of this blog and my overall life. I keep it so I can feel connected, not alone in this big wide world and to also share my photography and words when they actually decide to spill out.
2. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Again, curious that you ask this since I've really been trying to remember what it was that I wanted to be. I did like drawing and writing stories but somewhere along the way that got lost and I took up chasing down boys and getting wrapped up in being popular. My childhood felt more about escaping than really going towards something. But now I feel like my inner child is wanting me to go back and find that person that I wanted to be when I grew up. And coming back to drawing, painting, photography, writing...all the creative ventures I left along time ago are find their way back and it's filling me up in more ways than I could ever of imagined.
3. What's your superpower?
This one has me really stumped. I don't know and I think that is the problem! If anyone else knows...please share!
4. What's your favourite day of the week, and why?
I think I have 2...I love Friday nights and Saturday mornings. The last day of a 40+ work-week and the morning of the weekend where I can spend all the time with my girls and the freedom of doing whatever I wish.
5. First song ever bought?
Don't remember the first song I ever bought but I do remember the first albums that were bought for me. Men at Work and Air Supply. I also loved Alabama.
Thanks Susannah~ this was fun and it opened up so much in me....
