right here

inside my head

last week i jumped over a line to the other side

i remind myself over and over
that i jumped over a line to the other side

the other side of what you ask?

the other side to love,
to self love
to self care
to trusting my voice
to listening to my voice
to taking care of me

yes, to taking care of me

first?
second?
third?

taking care of me

why is it so hard to take care of ourselves first?

sitting alone

trying to conjure up the courage to jump over the next line
