a favorite

enjoying today ~
enjoying it like it's my birthday
because it is!!

no getting up early
no sitting in traffic to get over the bridge
no timelines to type up
no meetings to attend
no phone calls or emails to get out

just enjoying today like it's my birthday
the day my mama gave birth to me
celebrating today like it's my birthday

i think i will
i think i'll roll out of bed slowly
stay in the shower for a few minutes longer than usual
let the water trail down my front and just watch it
have tim and kadison make me breakfast (hint hint)
dress in something that makes me feel pretty
go get my hair done - that always makes me feel pretty
hang out in the city on my own
have a little lunch
maybe swagger into a used bookstore or better yet a bakery!
don't rush
don't think too much
just be
enjoying today

maybe head to the beach w/my love's
enjoy the saltly windy air
maybe go down the slide or swing on the swing

enjoy today

head out to dinner with my hubby
go see comedy and laugh our asses off
grab a glass of wine, enjoy our old neighborhood
walk and hold hands
be out late....like we used to do...

sounds like a good plan to me....
