dear kadison ~

today you turn 14 months old ~ you are running around back and forth down the hallway between the dining room and your room all the while yelling about the "ball" or the "dog" barking downstairs. Occassionaly you'll stop when I say something other times you'll just keep running, giggling and once in awhile stopping to look at a book or two. You are on the GO and it's always a treat to watch, experience and soak in the energy that you have. we're always cracking up when the music is on, you stop, and just start bending the knees, and feeling the beat. you love the music!!

your 5th and 6th tooth are coming in much to our surprise; we of course see the drool pouring from your mouth but we just finally caught a glimpse of the white little things poking through. you are looking more and more grown up.

being 14 months means that there are many changes occuring on a daily basis around here - we are trying to ween you off the "BOTTLE" and trying more and more to get you to drink out of a "CUP". the morning nap is increasinly being pushed out until the afternoon where you fight it so much we end up throwing you overhand into the crib! actually that is not true :) today actually you said "blanket" and walked over to your crib while I said "nap time with lulu?" and then laid you in your bed with your bed buddy "lulu the lamb", without too much crying! it felt good and i only wish i could be home more often during the day to keep this all going....but I need to learn I'm not the only one who can handle all this. i(t's taking me a while to realize this!)

you enjoy the park more and more and it's so fun to watch you exploring more and more - the swings, the sandbox (without eating the sand) and the slides. you love talking with the other moms and kids and are very curious about the goings on with everyone. you fit right in!

we're enjoying our summer and even though we slather you with sunscreen you already seem to have tan lines around your feet from your sandles and farm tans from your shirts and shorts!

we'll be on a plane again soon to go visit family and summer will bring more trips to the zoo, the park and maybe we'll start the occassional spontaneous road trips your dad and i love to take!
