Dear Kadison ~
You're 8 months today; it feels like yesterday that was I at the hospital ready to meet you.

You've started crawling; yes, this week you crawled! Daddy was here to catch it on tape since I was away at work. He layed you down on your floor in your room and you saw your favorite penguin and crawled straight for him without stopping. Daddy was very surprised! You are full of surprises every day.

You're eating more and more foods and really loving them - we couldn't be happier. You love bananas and would eat those all day if we let you!

No teeth yet but the drooling sure hasn't stopped...

You flew again last month and went back to Minnesota to meet all of your Daddy's family. You experienced your first real cold weather and I can honestly say you didn't like it :) But you did enjoy meeting your cousins, aunts, uncles and great gramma. Everyone loved you of course and the flight home with both Daddy and I went very smoothly which I really appreciated!
You wave now too and when I leave for work you wave bye bye...or at least I say you do!
You met Santa yesterday and even sat on his lap for a photo; we didn't know how you would like that but we actually couldn't get you off since you loved his beard so much! There's nothing like meeting Santa outside in his sleigh in 70 degree weather too!

You're also still as curious as always...looking around, over and under things..wanting to know where all the sounds are coming from and who is where and who is who. It's funny and we call you curious george alot. I hope you stay that way.

You've also had your first cold; running nose that won't go away! I'm pretty tired of it and I'm sure you are too. You sure don't like when we suck out your nose but you just haven't gotten the concept of blowing yet.

I said that you're crawling but you're also pulling yourself up in your crib and along the couch so we're wondering if walking is going to be in the near future. I can wait for that so don't be over anxious ok.
Christmas is in a couple of weeks and we'll be staying home and trying our hand at our very own traditions; don't know what those will be yet but I'm sure we'll think of something. You helped me decorate the tree yesterday and you really don't know what to make of the tree in our living room yet and the colored things glowing on it but you seemed to smile at it this morning when you got up.

I treasure every day I have with you my sweet cheeks and I'm looking forward to having a whole week off to spend with you and Daddy! You bring us both such joy and that little muppet smile you make now melts our heart and everyone that sees it.
love you so much!
mama
She's gorgeous! I see Amy sometimes when I look at her, especially the picture of her in the yellow outfit with her hair back.
You're very lucky!
Happy Birthday Tim!

I love the absolute wonder and amazement that I see in her eyes. You're right -- she does have that "curious george" look about her
You are truly blessed!!

PS: You must be the first parent in history that's ever gotten a picture with Santa without the screaming look of terror on the child's face *AMAZING*!!
Posted by: Barbara at December 12, 2005 09:42 AMThe most perfect Santa Picture i have ever seen. I have got to meet your little cheek-face. She must be hysterical! What a beautiful little girl! Zack and I are both looking at her pictures - he is pointing and saying "baby!"
