holiday time

lemon_tree.jpg

It's winter time here in my little island town; the lemon tree is plump full of ripe lemons and the houses are decorated with Christmas lights! It's officially HOLIDAY TIME!

In case your fretting about what to buy your loved one for the holidays I have a few suggestions that I've come across this past year....enjoy:)

Jewelry:
Andrea's necklaces are a given since they make anyone a Superhero!

Books:
My friend Sherry just self published this wonderful book - a sure win for the holidays
Sabrina is always a treat
I've fallen in love with anything and everything that Amy writes
Rob's new book sounds like a must read ~ it's on MY list
The SUN is always a great gift idea
Danny Gregory and Dan Price ~Both sketchers with style and writing that will make you think

Art:
Mati is beautiful and wonderful and I'm looking forward to brightening my home with her paintings
Christine's holiday cards are too cute to pass up

Music:
Any of Martine's cd's are a sure winner
The Weepies - listening to them right now

Misc:
Holiday cards etc...loving this cool designer
The journals and wish cards are perfect stocking stuffers
SARK's new 2006 calendar is a sure smile every day

I'd love to hear your ideas!

Great list Stef!
How nice of you to do this. I love "Little Threads" by Norene Wiesen. Not sure if there are still copies, but if so... add it to your list.

Those are great suggestions. I would also add for homemade gifts:
~ an old school mix tape or if you want to be modern you can do a CD.
~ a letter of things that you would wish for your loved one in the coming year and what you appreciate about them from the past.
~ your favorite book in the past year.
~ a certificate for an activity that the two of you can do together.
