i haven't been inspired lately
i feel like i'm just barely getting out of bed in the morning and barely getting through the days
it's been so exhausting...
the beautiful weather we're having sure helps but once those grey clouds come in and the fog rolls up it's back to the duldrums!
i did have a a few minutes of smiles and laughter on my way home tonight - they were "kickin it old school" and had "Sir Mix Alot" playing on the local radio and it brought me back to my college days in LaCrosse Wisconsin where my roommates and I would go out and dance all night long! God, we had fun back then....
What I wouldn't give right now to go out dancing to my good ol 80's music!
I think I'll dig up some cd's and "kick it" in my apartment all by myself!
Posted by stef at March 15, 2005 06:29 PMI made 4 cd's for the trip to Beloit for your shower and one of them was some of the 80's and 90's that we listened to, including, of course, Baby Got Back! :) I was playing that CD with Alison in the car, so she's been asking to hear "Zoom Zoom" (Rumpshaker)and Whomp There It Is. Not exactly lyrics a 4 year old should be singing! Hopefully she won't be able to understand all the words like her mom!! :)

Stef, you may not be feeling inspired lately, but please know that you provide endless inspiration to all of us out here reading your words and drinking in the beauty of the pictures you share so generously on this site. It's all going to come back to you ten-fold... thousand-fold!... I have no doubt in my mind.
And also please know that the first sentence of this post is merely a nod to your "Sir Mix-a-Lot" reference, and not a random, earnest declaration of my favorite butt size.
