Messy Thrilling Life...

I had the unique and wonderful experience of spending an evening with the beautiful Sabrina Ward Harrison tonight.

Dear Friends

Sabrina's new book "Messy Thrilling Life" is out and it's a beautiful told story of New York, tragedy, love, moving back to the Bay area, love lost, finding one's true self. It's that and so much more. Sabrina speaks the truth, the deep dark truth of herself. Through her photography, collage and her writings.

She makes me think about myself and that I really am ok just the way I am right now at this moment. That being scared about having a baby is ok, that it's never the "right" time, that it's never the perfect feeling. It's all messy and thrilling! Totally true! I had such an AHA! moment after talking with her.

What a perfect night.

We all must realize that EVERTHING happens at EXACTLY the right time...not a moment before..not a moment later....it's meant to be. We are the ones who have to get thru the fear..that's what we are here to learn, among many other things. You will be a Perfect Mom...to your Perfect Child. You are meant to be together..It's your contract. How exciting.
I will have to check out her books..sounds like a great night.

Oh, it's so true that these are messy and thrilling lives we are leading. I love that you are EMBRACING all the imperfections and realizing that that's perfection of it! This must be the right time after all.... God doesn't make mistakes. It's all as it is meant to be. Enjoy the whole dang thing, Stef! Enjoy the doubt, the worry, the imaginings, the stirrings, the awakenings and all the beautifully messy awe-inspiring aha moments along the way in this
thrilling life of yours.
P.S. I LOVE THIS PHOTOGRAPH!!!

Oh, you lucky girl! I bet it was amazing. Her books are phenomenal (I'm buying all my girlfriends one of her books for the holidays!). And you're absolutely right that she makes us all realize that we are fine just as we are. It took a long time for me to learn that having several emotions at once is OKAY. Totally okay. Now if I could just remember that every moment of my life. ;)

Thanks for sharing...
